New Balance 550 Varsity Gold

New Balance 550 Varsity Gold brings a warm gold tone to the 550 silhouette, borrowing the colour language of varsity jackets and college athletics. The 550 began as a basketball shoe, and its low-cut profile, stacked panels and court-inspired stance still reflect that background. The gold accents give the pair a confident, sporty character that stands out from the more common neutral colourways, while the layered design keeps the overall look clean and balanced. It pairs naturally with washed denim, cargo trousers or tracksuits, and adds a welcome touch of warmth to a rotation built mostly on whites and greys.

The 550 is built on a cushioned midsole with cupsole-style construction that delivers comfortable support from morning to night, while the layered upper keeps the fit secure and familiar. A lace-up closure makes it simple to adjust the fit, and the structured profile holds its shape well through regular city wear. Wiping the panels with a soft cloth after wearing helps keep the finish looking sharp. Sizes are shown in EU and UK in the size selector, and New Balance uses its own sizing scale, so compare against a pair you already own if you are between sizes.
